It has now become a practice of many such Ersatz(fake) sadhus who do drinks & drugs etc in the name of Lord Shiva, (the hindu god).[wiki link here ][link]
A employee of the archaeological department who takes care of this old monument had lot of complaints against this phony priest, He even went on to say that the sadhu has done a lot of physical damage to the monument, He was also involved in some incidents while we were there like not allowing women to enter the temple, talking rudely to visitors, swearing at the archeology guy. ... And there is nothing that can be done to avoid these people !!! Th cave temple is in remote area of Parner, Ahmednagar, INDIA. The cave temple was built in 6th century by King Krishnadevraya, around the same era when the famous caves of ajanta[ [link] ] & ellora[ [link] ] were built.
